Project Overview
MadMoney needed to move from product idea into a launch-ready brand with a clear digital presence, product story and promotional assets.
Website Designer, Motion Designer and Social Media Creative for the launch experience and supporting campaign assets.
Website, social media creatives, motion graphics, campaign visuals and print-ready files for the product launch.
A culture-led product identity extended into web, packaging, social content and motion so every launch asset felt connected.
The project helped package MadMoney as a launch-ready brand with the digital assets needed to promote, sell and present the product professionally across web and social platforms.
Web design, ecommerce launch thinking, motion graphics, social media creative, packaging design and print-ready file preparation.
01 — The Insight
The system translates the energy of South African music culture into a premium rolling paper identity. Every touchpoint uses the same visual language: a heavy wordmark, a recognisable MM symbol, a face-seal mascot, and a sharp fire-inspired pattern that can flex across booklets, cones, display boxes, posters, motion ads, and digital surfaces.
02 — Logo System
The identity uses multiple lockups so the brand can scale from wide product fronts to small side spines, circular seals, carton stamps, social headers and merch applications.

Circular Mark03 — Motif & Colour System
The background pattern turns sparks and flame geometry into a repeatable signature across every SKU.
The motif references the spark, passion and drive behind South African music culture and craft.
The system works across booklet covers, box fronts, product spines, inner trays and retail display cartons.
Brown, Pink and White define the range, supported by warm paper neutrals, deep browns and high-impact magenta.
04 — Packaging System
The packaging design covers premium rolling paper booklets, pre-rolled cone packs, point-of-sale display boxes and campaign layouts. The same graphic DNA carries from small booklet format to bulk retail display.

The primary colourways translated into physical production files, showcasing the die-lines and brand architecture applied across the product suite.
05 — Campaign & Product Ads
A high-fidelity exploration of the MadMoney visual system. This motion piece anchors the brand's cultural identity, translating the fire motif and rhythmic energy into a cinematic product showcase.
The promotional poster direction moves from dark retail mood into punchy colour blocking. Yellow fields create instant attention, while the oversized typography turns the product benefit into the visual hook.
The motion set gives the packaging system a social layer. Each frame is built to hold attention quickly: fast product reveal, brand mark recall, colourway contrast and product benefit hierarchy.
06 — Lifestyle Photography
The product photography system gives MadMoney a world: dark, tactile, fashion-led and recognisable. The packs move from clean product arrangements into human-scale lifestyle moments.

07 — Website Rollout
The website section extends the same identity language into a digital storefront presence: strong logo recall, product-first imagery, colourway recognition and campaign messaging that can support launch, retail awareness and future product drops.
08 — Why It Works
| Principle | Application |
|---|---|
| SKU Recognition | Brown, Pink and White colourways create instant product separation without losing brand unity. |
| Ownable Pattern | The fire motif becomes a repeatable asset that can scale across packaging, ads, trays, boxes and digital layouts. |
| Premium Street Tone | The identity balances clean premium packaging with a bold visual language that still feels rooted in culture and nightlife. |
| Retail Visibility | Display boxes and pack spines are designed to remain recognisable even when products are stacked, partially hidden or viewed quickly. |
| Campaign Extendability | The same product photography, typography and colour blocking can support posters, web banners, Reels, stories and launch assets. |
| Logo Flexibility | Horizontal, stacked, icon-only and seal-based lockups let the identity work across large and tiny applications without compromise. |
